I started working on my family tree in 1996 because I wanted to introduce my children to their ancestors and so my journey into the past began. Little did I know when I started down this road that it is a puzzle that can become quite addictive. I have continued down this road and am now helping others with their research through volunteering at my local historical society and am willing to do it for hire. I have written books on how to do genealogy research, I write a newsletter for the historical society, and given presentations on the subject.
Over the years as I traveled down this road I have learned a lot about genealogy and about myself. The most important thing I have learned is that there will always be more to learn about genealogy and how to research it. I am always learning something new and am willing to do so in order to help someone with their own family tree.
I hope to be able to help others with what I write about here so join me on my journey and let us learn together.
